HRE P40 Damage
#18
We assisted insp185 with his HRE repair, HRE did a great job. If HRE determines that your wheel is repairable their rates are very reasonable and allows you to maintain your HRE warranty.

Like others have said, that appears to be an easy fix for someone who knows what they're doing.

Has your car been to the dealership (or otherwise driven by someone else) recently?

I gave this a lot of thought.... I visited a restaurant a few days ago and the valet said that they would park my car in the porch when one of the other cars moved out. I saw them parking the car on the wrong side of the road (the wheel damaged was on the passenger side) and I am sure they hit the curb...
The last time I am going to use valet....
Thanks everyone for their advice...

For those who live in Houston this was at Eddie V's at city center (memorial)... One of the kids when I was driving off commented if he could have my car... I guess they were just playing with me since I did not notice the damage and was driving off....
Imcarnuts.... Hopefully I will not get dinged as badly as you did ... But no more valets for me anymore... Only when I am driving my Ford Truck...

Wow
excellent memory bonehead!
Yes I sent mine back to HRE shortly after I got them
it cost an absolute fortune but it's perfect
man...that day still pisses me off-stupid moving curb! It jumped out and hit my wheel

Those moving curbs are sly little suckers, ain't they?
Only reason I remember is because I...well....have the exact same wheels as you. That and now everytime I approach a curb, I leave a 'healthy' cushion because I remember you telling me it cost an arm and a leg to fix the rash

I have the P40s and I was devastated when I backed into a curb for the third time on my rear passenger side. I would just sand the damage down. The third time was by far the worst. Not only was it deep, but the clear-coat was starting to haze. I knew I was over my head...So I sent the rim back to HRE and I am not kidding you, I thought they gave me a new rim. Wow
