Ouch. Must be a bunch of good wheel refinishing shops in TX. As long as the wheel isn't cracked or bent, should be a fairly easy (but maybe $$$$) fix.

+1 on what Ed said! A good shop should be able to fix that, but it will cost a few bills to do it!

I would send them to HRE for refinishing. They will be more expensive than your standard wheel repair shop, but they will ensure that the structural integrity of the wheel has not been compromised and they will refinish to factory specs.

You mean the wheel or not being able to recall how and when it happened? Hmm, but you said you hit the curb "somewhere". Now thats a nasty bump and scrape... how could you not feel hitting that? Ok...one good suggestion here (perhaps) 1) If drinking lots of alcohol with your buddies, remember to leave expensive car at home.

Good one for on the alcohol - mate - I sincerely do not recollect hitting the curb...I figure the 20 inch wheels are so much more susceptible to damage as the space between the front tires and the road is very less.....
Thanks everyone else once again for the advice...

Centerlock is infamous around these parts
I don't believe HRE does refinishing on one piece forged wheels? Best option is to replace it with a new one.

I just had HRE refinish a P40 from my car. They did a great job, there is no evidence of the original damage. I highly recommend sending the wheel to them.

Hi todo, might be a good idea give HRE a call. Unless it's just a touch up job, they *might* just want you to send the wheel back. Not sure but I think it has something related to do with the heat involved in powder coating (???). and HRE uses a specific process.

Pls post what you find out; I would like to know too.

I believe raclaims sent his 890R's back to HRE get the lips refinished. Said it cost almost as much as a new wheel
