Audison audio?

Photos
Good to see the photos on line - not sure why I can't access 6speedonline features anymore (my page looks like plain unformatted text - nuts!). Anyway, the photos help show (I have lots more if I can get back to being able to posting again) how Mobile Solutions takes the Audison and Pioneer, custom builds it into the stock features, adds two types of door sound proofing, and then invites you into a new world of sound - and all while driving a P-car! Please note we had to use Hertz tweeters as the new Voce ones didn't fit. The process took awhile as I didn't realize (duh!) what was involved regarding getting to know the new sound and then having Mobile Solutions tune it for my preferences. I didn't even know I had audio preferences or choices until I got this system. I didn't have a clue how great certain drums can sound and effect thte audio landscape of each song. It's a whole new world, for me anyway, that I recommend to anyone. I must admit I didn't like it at first, before the tuning, because my ear wasn't used to so much information and so much audio precision-separation. It was confusing - sensory overload. After about a week my ear started to learn how to listen to all this new input and it was then I started to understand what the Audison systems has to offer. I love driving my TT every time I start it up and the same now goes for the Audison system. Can't wait for winter to end and hit the highways to enjoy it - so many different types of music and sounds to explore that I didn't realize before. Yahoo!

No subs
Good question. I had a conversation with Mobile Solutions about replacing the subs in the rear. It was explained to me that I could do this, but the current set up with the focus on the front seats and the new Voce speaker dynamics would be more than adequate. Also, recall the tuning power of the Audison Bit One. While some might like more bass, I am very satisfied with the bass and range of the current set up - you can still feel the air the bass note blow on your pant leg! That said, I also understand that subs would allow the sound stage to be tuned a bit higher as the Voce's slightly lower the sound stage about 4-6 inches. So while you feel like you are in the studio with the musicians, they appear to almost on top of your dash. With the subs they would be sound just a bit higher. Make sense? I actually asked to have new subs put in but they recommended not, at least for now, and as with the rest of their advice, it appears right on. However, if you are a bass freak, you probably would want to consider subs. Take care - Spring is almost here with dry roads and zooooom. K.
