Interesting, I would have thought the opposite would be true. i.e. that the 997tt would take it from a dead start b/c of awd and then once the z06 hooks up it takes off. And that's kinda what the numbers suggest too iirc. The numbers are similar to 100mph from a stop and then the z06 pulls away (both cars in stock form).

I agree with comments above. A modded C6 Z06 is a serious drag contender and for you to walk him that way from a roll with a TIP is outstanding!!

I'd think the Porsche would have the advantage from a dig also. But yours being a TIP vs his 6spd would give you even more advantage from a dig.

It's amazing how my tiny computer speakers convey what the z06 sounds like (I've been in my buddy's car and it does sound like that - awesome).
That's pretty well what I figured would happen if I raced him - he's got a bunch of mods but no cam. I've got exhaust now and will get a tune. And our speed limits are enforced....so I'll take him up to about 100mph or so?
Great video though, really shows the brute force of the z06 in 4th gear. But props also to you in the tt and the nice jump off the line.
