My new DCT steering wheel

"There are no perfect 10's...except Bo Derek. "
Nice one! Had me chuckling.
The mysterious 1/4 point deduction was for two reasons really. 1) the silver racing stripe looks awesome from a distance but (and I know this is being a bit picky) the leather used for the stripe itself has a lot of wrinkles/lines in it vs. the rest of the wheel which is so nice and smooth. It looks a little like they used an older scrap piece or perhaps the dye affected it somehow. Don't get me wrong - still looks good even close up, I just would have preferred it to have that ultra smooth look as well. 2) there is just a very slight small area where the leather is SLIGHTLY (and I mean slightly) bunched up. Not nearly enough to be considered a flaw - but still something I noticed nonetheless.
The fact that I only deducted a 1/4 point honestly reflects how small these things are compared to the overall quality and look of the wheel - and I'm not easily impressed!
Thanks again to everyone for all the kind comments.

Nice pics Jim! Kinda looks like you've got the mod bug. Nice job ordering that wheel. You're right on with the OEM look. And thanks for the great info on it. Your TT should stand out at the Porsche Escape in Sept. (if you're going there).

Gorgeous steering wheel. I also like the very small and thick Ruf steering wheels, and especially the U-shaped small racing steering wheels used by the Alzen brothers in their 996 and 997 turbo race cars.

Thanks again for the comments guys. It's been a month and it's still one of my favourite upgrades because it's so RIGHT THERE and being used/noticed every time I'm in the car.
Lee - definitely have the mod bug, but really honestly getting close to done (especially for the wallet this year). The car is so good from the factory, but I have always been one to tinker and personalize to make it mine! A little suspension work perhaps next year and at this point I can't envision a more perfect ride (personal preference obviously).
Ajag - you'll love it. And like I mentioned above, you'll love it every time you drive! P.S. I've always loved the look of your car in your avatar since I've been a member. Gorgeous.

Lee - I forgot to mention that YES I will be at Sun Peaks for Escape. Really looking forward to it. We should PM and make plans to meet up for a beverage closer to the date.

Ha, you're only seeing half my age. My dream babe used to be Natalie Wood. You may have to google that.

Thanks guys.
I did google Natalie Wood ... and was impressed! Nice choice!
Cost was $1463 and that included a $400 core charge so right around $1000 if you part with your original wheel. Not cheap, but much less than some of the other options out there and though it took a couple weeks longer than initially discussed (probably 5 weeks to my door), there were no SUPER long production/delivery problems like one of the other members here had. I also really liked the fact that I could choose almost everything about this wheel (shape, color, perf. or smooth leather, racing stripe (and color of that), stitching, etc).

You'd be amazed at what I use for the brake pedal.
