The PDK transmission is made by ZF, and Porsche actually uses 3 different variants of it as the 7DT-45 has a 369 lb ft torque rating so it goes in the 911 and Boxster/ Cayman other than the Turbo. The next one (7DT-70) they use is strictly for the 911 Turbo and its torque rating is 575 lb ft so it is basically the same transmission with a stronger clutch pack.

The Panamera PDK 7DT-75 does have slight differences but its still a version of the same transmission family that ZF builds for Porsche. Its differences are the internal shaft layout and cooling circuit, it also requires different fluid than the other two. The changes are so the Panamera can have a lower center of gravity but it hardly makes it a completely different transmission.

The main difference is in the tuning of each transmission more so than the slight differences with the Panamera's PDK.

The Metzger engine is a racing motor.....and a very good one, mass produced.

I have been running 600 on pump, and mid 700 on c16 at the wheels on a stock block with absolutely no problems for some time now.

There are a few of guys running over 800 on the stock block with no problems.

With my new exhaust and boost controller I will soon join them.

I would call 800 whp on a stock block bulletproof.
