60-130mph or 100-200km/h cold vs hot weather

I did some 100-200 runs these days and i noticed that my car is not as fast as before. My previous runs using PBOX were back on March where the weather was 22-25 deg C. Now is around 30-35 deg C and me car is almost half second slower than before, also humidity is very high 70-80%

I believe cars from UAE would be the most affected, please share your experience on cold vs hot weather.

thx

it makes sense to me that you would see an increase in the times as the higher ambient temps mean the inter coolers are not as efficient so the charge going to the cyliders isnt as cool....and as we all know the cooler the better so you might be down on some power. not a direct comparison but my s4 for sure has more jump when the temps are in the 15-20C area rather than the 30-35c area ive been seeing lately

no compare between summer and winter here as it get up to 50C during the day and you can imagine how this would effect the performance.

It's been mid-30s here all week with high humidity. The car feels fast but the butt dyno says it's not as fast as when it's cooler outside. No surprise.

In my climate car can be 10-12% higher or lower power based on weather.

Play around with this calculator. I believe its for NA cars though but it will give you an idea.

50c must just be deadly on the performance of the turbo.....water meth or something to help that out might be an idea....or just wait for it to go down a bit at night....

what were the times you had in cold/hot weather? Also have in mind that every 3 deg of celcious rising, you loose 1% of power...So there is a great difference between cold and hot days...

you'll notice the different specially when the humidity is high you'll feel like the turbo cant breath and when it's cooled out there it's like some one fixed the turbo's with an inhaler

Miliou,
I did non test my GT2, but it definately feels slower on hotter days. I can sometimes feel the difference even between day and evening when the temp differece is 10dc.

Cooler air is denser air = more power.
