cayenne is not a sport anything but as he said has a better sound what gives porsche just has not addressed the muffled sound of twin turbos. maybe they should ask ferrari (F40) or McLaren (12C) how to get the sound right

The stock exhaust wakes up after a few thousand miles. 10K miles will show a noticeable audible improvement. and it's authentic Porsche.

To be clear, my Cayenne GTS has the "sport exhaust" with the valves that open in sport mode. It really does sound mean. The Cayenne Turbo also shares the sport exhaust option. So why not on the 997 Turbo??

For some reason its a lot easier to make a V8,V10 or V12 sound good than to make a flat six or 4 cylinder sound good. And thn you add to it, two tubos in the exhaust stream sucking up all of the noise!

If they figured out how to send a man to the moon they should be able to figure out how to make a TT sound good.
