At the request of one of our customers, we fabricated a 3" catted cross-flow straight pipe system. This system will sound awesome at WOT! We hope to have some video once it's up and running...

It will now be available as an exhaust option for anyone interested in a high flowing, louder system.

Why is a X-Pipe beneficial to our turbos? I understand the use on a NA motor for the scavenging effect but turbo? Thanks for the edumecation !

Thanks. Theoretically, the same scavenging effect applies to turbos, but the overwhelmig benefit to a crossflow system on a turbo car is the sound it produces. It is much like the cherished GT3 sound - below is a link to a video of our cross-flow exhaust on a 997TT. You should be able to get a good idea of the nice sound it produces. I have used and heard a lot of Porsche twin turbo exhausts and the cross-flow is my favorite by far - the sound is truly amazing. The internals of the exhaust featured in the video are the same as the X-Pipe above, except the muffler system has perforated pipe, stainless packing and a stainless steel skin around the center portion, enclosing the "X" in the center of the muffler.

The X-Pipe is a louder version of the exhaust in the video for those that desire a louder, more aggressive straight pipe sound. Our original customer for the X-Pipe fell into this catagory.

For the highest flow, our full 3" dual tips can be used with the X-Pipe to provide a complete 3"/76mm system.

 

What size cats in this system ?

Can it be used with OEM cats ?

Is it available for the .2TT ?

We use 100 cell due to the superior flow characteristics, although we can provide 200, 300 or even greater cell count on request.

The .1 system can not be used with the OEM cats, as the cats are part of the exhaust.

We will be developing a .2 system that can be fitted to the OEM cats or utlize our own 100 cell cats, but it is not ready at this time. We are about to look for a 997.2TT in the northern New England area to use for the development car. If anyone with a .2 997TT is interested in a free X-cellerator cross-flow system (your choice of sound level or X-Pipe) in exchange for use of the car for a day, please contact me via PM. We would install a system on your car at no charge and at the end of the day you drive away with a fully installed cross-flow system and we come away with our pattern for production. We have done this before and it's a win/win for both parties.

The pricing on the .2 system has not been established yet. It will include options for using the OEM cats or a full catted system.

 

I have 2007 977 TT. I am looking to improve the exhaust and possible tuning.
I got the following offers so far.
Dealer 1 - Tubi exhaust - $5700 drive out, $3200 for tuning if I want it

Shop 2 - Switzer L1 + DME software + high flow air filter = $7140 drive out - 550 HP.
or just the Switzer Exhaust = $5400 drive out
Dealer 3 - Just add porsche exhaust system ( part no 997-044-200-03 ) part is $2361 + labor ( $350 ) = $2711 - mainly for sound but not much horse power gain here
