Folks-

Just looked at a 2007 997 Turbo with low mileage, The car checked out with some minor issues that the dealer will fix.

However, he did say "the DME show 239.8 hours of operation. the air bag module shows 363 hours, you should draw your own conclusion about this."

I may call a mechanic this morning (Saturday), but I must admit, what does this mean? Was the DME replaced at some point? Were the air bags deployed?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It's obvious, the previous owner had the car chipped, so the difference in hours reflects the amount of time it was chipped.

Is it a factory steering wheel that came with the car? Maybe it's a different steering wheel with a different airbag from another car?
