Seriously, I need some help as FVD is not getting back to me and I have been sending them files and calling them for 2 days. anyway, data logs to follow.
It's disappointing that you haven't heard back yet. I'm not surprised considering the issue at hand and that you're dealing with a European company. I think you should find a communicative US tuner and upgrade to 700 with a good set of ICs. There are several great options out there. It will come down to who you feel most comfortable dealing with.

I think your tune is working the way it was designed. It's pulling back timing when you switch from added ms109 to pump. If you compare your 3rd gear pull from 4200 with ms109 you're running a solid 12 deg. With pump in the same region, you're down to 4-6. So your tune is working as it should. Others may have a different opinion.

I think the car now knows there's almost no ms109 in the tank as you can see timing is really pulled back in the mid range compare to the logs i made a couple days ago. However afr didnt change much I guess it's in the tune.

I was going to pm you regarding the proto tune; but I am afraid that i will break my bank. I will have to see what FVD thinks if they get back to me.

I would be happy to discuss it with you. Feel free to PM me anytime. I think you've done enough datalogging. The data is pretty consistent. It appears to me that you're tuned on the lean side which is causing your ECU to pull timing. You need to get your lambdas in the 0.80 zone. If you really want to safely max out your power you need a tune specific for ms109. You can run ms109 with your current tune which will provide a measure of safety at WOT pulls but you won't get max benefit because your timing will be limited by the tables and afrs set in your current tune.

Yes, i think i have logged enough. Not much change from AFR regardless of fuel, but timing really backed off with pump gas.
I will probably look at proto tune if FVD can't help me out. It's great that you can get both pump map as well as 100 octane map from proto.

Thanks Mark! I think I better spend the money now than picking up my engine in pieces down the road.

valex is infamous around these parts
out of sheer curiosity, would there be any performance gain with stock ECU using race fuel? My guess would be know, that it starts at a timing of '93' octane, lets say, and would only downgrade based on knock sensor, etc.. and not advance the timing until it HIT the knock.. So I assume you'll see no gain, but figured I'd at least ask the question.

We have seen stock ecus hit knock... the 997s are knock sensitive.

correct, i get that, but what I'm trying to ask is if I would see any performance gain from 100+ octane vs 93 on stock ECU tune. I'd assume no, but.

Absolutely. When you have no support from your tuner just like buying a brand new car without warranty. If microsoft didn't have tech support, I guess Bill Gates wouldn't get that wealthy.
