Backfiring when changing gears at high rpms
I dont know whats it called Backfiring/Grenading when switching gears at high rpm's. It sounds kool, but is there a timing/fuel mix problem? Should I be worried or keep driving?

Usually a backfire is caused by unburnt fuel getting to the exhaust. It's a sign of running too rich and possibly incorrect timing.
The exhaust system isn't usually designed to act like a combustion chamber. I would have it checked.

It could be any number of things. That's why you'll have to have it checked.

W/O cats to burn the "decel enrichment" fueling, you will get a pop in the exhaust as unburnt fuel mixture fill the exhaust ignites from the combustion proses when you get back on the throttle or from igniting when the mixture is lean enough and in contact with the hot components. In other words Its just Awesomeness. Porsche did that in the 80s on the 962 and 935 to distract other drivers during endurance races at night with a huge fire ball. They would turn up the fueling during deceleration for that reason and to keep that big single turbo spooled up between shifts.

when my car was stock power level with just catless FVD brombacher exhaust it was backfiring when i would let off the throttle at a high rpm.
Now that i have a powerchip as well it backfires alot lol. not sure if more than before the ecu, however multiple friends have witnessed it and descrbe it as flames shooting out of all 4 tips about 1 foot out.
i am dieing to see lol.
