If you're planning to highly modify it, you might have to reinforce your tip clutches which takes some time and $$$$$$

It is the same gearbox as the MB E55 AMG I have heard. Very reliable.

Whiteknight, from your experience what power level can the reinforced gearbox run with and still be safe? I was thinking of shifting to GT3071 kit which will be around 700WHP, will it handle that power?

thx

Hello,

Yes, i have modded 3 cars, 2 of them have Tial a30 turbos, the other one has garrett gt3071 turbos, they run max about 1.8 bar.

No problems so far. I think you won't have any problems with 700whp.

Yes, i have installed an oil cooler kit.

It reduces max 10deg celsius on highway, in traffic its effect is lower.

I'm not sure if its worth it or not but im using it on my car.

Here is a sample picture. I also made an air duct for this cooler but its not in this picture.

Regards,
Emre

Emre, i'm very interested for the cooler. What did it costed you? Is it easy to install?
I was thinking of building my own kit but was told that i might have pressure loss.

I would love to shift to the next level of power as you have the GT3076 kit but don't know if the trany will handle the extra power.I had my trany reinforced by MKB but i don't know where its limits are and don't want to find out the hard way Also lag is another issue. It would be great to see some performance data of your car

Maybe a video
