Protomotive E85 Tune on Stock Injectors with 5Bar FPR

Todd provided me with a E85 tune running on stock injectors with an upgraded
5 Bar FPR.

Wow, what can I say car runs smoother and pulls harder.

Did a brief data-log on the drive back home and my timing is twice better
then the 93 tune at given rpm/load. Was in single digits now is in the teens.

Third gear pull and I backed off at 4500 rpm.

Will be doing some more testing to see when we max out injector duty cycle.

I will be dynoing the car in a few days and will post the results.

In one of your sigs it says you have a giac tune, did you change to the proto or am I looking at the wrong car?

I had a Softronic tune, changed to Protomotive\Softronic.

Todd is a great guy, very knowledgeable/helpful.

If you have this e85 tune and your going on a trip and there is no e85 station around, can you run regular gas if you had to?

Todd provided me a 93 Tune with 5 Bar FPR and I can flash to when I don't want to or can't run E85.

Asked Todd the question of running 93 Oct on E85 tune and his answer is
" the answer is yes. It’ll adapt, not ideally, but just in case, you can.
I’ve expanded the range that the O2’s can compensate from about 20% stock to nearly 40% now, just in case you needed to run 93 for some reason and couldn’t flash back".

He thinks of everything a fantastic tuner.

Way to go Todd.

Guys with E-85 availability should definitely go for this tune.
Stock injectors with 5 Bar FPR.
DIY on swapping out the FPR can be found at
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...5-bar-fpr.html
Race gas at $2.24 instead of $10.30.

It's good to know that you can fill with pump gas in case of emergency but pushing the O2 sensors to 40% is really a stretch. The system will be constantly trying to compensate. At least you would error on the rich side. Just don't push it.
