Question 997TT Rear wing...

Hi!
As I said in an other post, my 633hp 997TT (FVD 610hp kit maped 1,33/1,17 Bar on dyno) is quiet ok from 100-200 (6,9' at V-box) but big deception to reach 300 (31'...)

I expected my stock IC's for guilty and will probably soon buy two special ones, but:

Do you think my Techart rear wing (the little one, not GT street) could be an aero brake for my car?
Is the stock one better for high speeds?

thx!

Tests done:
24,5°C alone in the car, 100-300 (V-box) in 28,7'
little wind in back.

I did 31' two times at 2 persons, 25°C, same place with the Techart wing, do not remember the wind?...

this is not a problem with the wing.....fvd is cheap supermarket store with some porsche parts.
what exactly turbines you have?
what is your 0-200km/h acceleration time? should be not more than 10.5sec.

Do not know about the turbines, the kit was on when I bought the car...
I never accelerate at max from 0, but my best 100-200 is 6,7', so 0-200 around 10,5' if I kill my clutch and tyres...
I hope doing better times with Ic's and when ambient air will be colder (<15°C), will tell you...

For the wing, I like the Techart when down, but it is a bit "too much" when up, so I keep the little stock one on for the moment.

TechArt II

I chose the Techart II wing. It has actually been wind tunnel tested (who else does this!?) to add about 30% more down force at higher speeds. In other words - it is actually functional. It helps feed air into the engine intakes and is noticeable larger than OEM but not too extreme. It's also a bit lighter - and not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Mine is the small Techart, bought by Techart around 1000Euros...
It is HEAVYER than stock, I measured the two.
I do believe the down force is bigger but normal consequence it brakes a bit the car...

I would expect that Porsche wind tunnel's their wings too. And the fixed aero wing is definitely a lot lighter than *ANY* wing that still uses the hydraulic lifts.

The complete Porsche aero kit was less than $7k painted and installed.
