traction is definitely a problem in first gear, so it is best to short shift first. in second gear, the traction light flickers, but you are pulling strong regardless.

Is the only difference between the p800/r911 a race gas tune?

The R911 is a package within itself. P800 uses smaller turbos, makes 850hp (approx) on race, the R911 is race first, pump fuel second. Over 900 hp on race fuel with slightly larger turbos than the P800 but still pushes over 800hp on pump fuel.
DK, we need to get those 400+ treadwear tires off of your car before it puts you in a ditch or a tree... I have seen stickier hides on a honda!
