Dyno Run: 997.2 PDK 2010: Softronic Tune + Protomotive/TPC ICs + BMC Filter

Dyno Run: 997.2 PDK 2010: Softronic Tune + Protomotive/TPC ICs + BMC Filter
I installed my Protomotive/TPC Racing intercoolers.
This brings the kit installed on my car to:
1- Softronic Tune
2- Protomotive/TPC Racing 5" hybrid intercoolers
3- BMC Air Filter
I went to dyno the car yesterday.
We have an AWD Dynojet here in Kuwait and the owner/operator of the shop successfully dynoed a stock 911 TT PDK.
In the same conditions:
1- about 85* Fahrenheit
2- About 10% humidity
3- Smoothing was set to 5
The stock PDK dynoed at 465HP.
Both cars were dynoed in 4th gear.
Here are my results below:
Please ignore the A/F ratio as the sensor snapped off mid run.
The Softronic tune I am currently running is the conservative one.
Scott Slauson of Softronic and I are working together to re-tune and extract more power from a more aggressive flash.
After the dyno run, I ran the stock PDK in question.
Result= No contest
Stay tuned, this is getting interesting!
Cheers,
Karim
PS: I will update my I/C thread about the install process and driving impressions later.

I have heard the panamera doesn't have MAF's as well, i could be wrong thu

Well None of the .2 turbo's we have seen have them. From the airbox to the turbo inlet is just a black plastic tube..
The .2 turbo has 2 MAP sensors, one in the y-pipe, and one in the intake manifold.
The .1 turbo had a MAF at the outlet of each side of the airbox, they are deleted on the .2 turbo.. unless you have something different?

Thanks bro!
Trannies are about torque not HP.
The stock PDK tranny can handle up to about 570 to 580 lbft of torque.
Although I was unable to measure torque during my run because that would have required the removal of my rear bumper and I couldn't really be bothered with it, I seriously doubt I'm at that threshold yet.
In any case, and to be on the safe side, I am only going to re-tune my flash, add the EP exhaust and then that's it for me until the PDK is upgraded.
Unfortunately, I did not dyno before the I/Cs.
I wil update my "Christmas in the Desert" thread about driving impressions of before and after I/Cs.
Thanks Josh. Those I/Cs are beyond outstanding. Check for my review latest by tomorrow on my thread about the I/Cs as mentioned above.
No torque curve for the reasons mentioned above.
Thanks for the tip regarding the oiled cooler. I will wash it out thoroughly.
Thanks Louis.
Thanks Scott. Great results for the mods.
No worries about the OT guys. Always eager to learn.
Unfortunately, as I stated above, no torque curve because I did not want to remove the bumper.
The shop that did the I/C install does not have a dyno. I had to go to a different place to dyno and I did not want to remove the bumper again.
Midrange torque is massively improved from a seat of the pants experience.
I'll update the tread I mentioned above with more details.

Congratulations! Those are fantastic results! Enjoy the added power!
Where's the torque curve?
Be careful using those pre-oiled filters. Often, the oil can actually draw oil off the filter and into the air stream. It can then easily coat the delicate MAF sensors causing your car to run worse, and even lose power! Traditionally, when we use these BMC filters, even on our Daytona 24 Hour winning #36 GT3 Cup Car, We wash the oil off the filter so that it is completely clean and white. This will ensure the safety of the MAFs.

Guys sorry for the off topic, but on PET is stated that there are 2 different diagrams for air inlet, both listing mafs as part no 99760612500 but the one for engine MA1.70 does bot show them...weird...Also there are some other turbo cars such as Audi TTRS that does not use MAF...(and making ECU tune harder for us...)

I would recommend calling TPC Racing, the post below states that their intercoolers are good for 130WHP and 150 TQ. It looks like your missing some power. Please let me know the outcome and I look forward to viewing another dyno.

But please, in the future, do not try to bring me into such inter-tuner disputes.
I am neither naive to believe a 130 HP gain due to ICs (which Josh already admitted as a mistake) nor gullible to believe that you have my best interest at heart with the above advice.
Both TPC Racing and Champion Motorsports are companies that I respect and admire.
