Turbo Tune-up

Pretty new to 6speed and coming from a Bmw M6 to my first Porsche 911, I finally found a turbo that I pulled the trigger on. Awaiting patiently for my delivery of a 2008 Tip-Turbo coupe with 17k miles on the clock. With unknown simple mods as an intake/ exhaust combo, what is needed to tune this baby up? From previous research I found upgraded spark plugs and ignition coil packs and wire that people use on stock turbo cars. As a quick tune-up obviously consist of changing the oils and fluids in the car, but do you think its necessary that I change the spark plugs and coil packs on the motor only at 17k miles? I have a picture of the car from the dealer that I am purchasing from, maybe someone can help me out with the mods and maybe even previous owner?!

click to see pictures, does anyone recognize that exhaust or intake?

above is true, fabspeed all the way. If the car has had a tune before then you may want to change the plugs, on a tuned car should be every 20k miles, on a stock every 40k miles. It is not a fun job to do if your doing it yourself, and it is a costly job if your taking it to the dealer. For reference, I changed mine out myself at 25k and they looked pretty good, almost new. As for anything else you mentioned, no need to replace unless you get into crazy hp #'s

Welcome to 6speed!

If you're going to be modifying the car, I'd suggest changing the plugs. The coils should still be fine unless they are cracked or damaged.

We're a short ferry ride from Long Island here in CT, we can take care of that for you and help with any other modifications as well. A simple ECU reflash will net you almost another 100 ft/lb!

Thanks for the help, I saw the car in person today for the first time , discovered it also had fabspeeds headers along, im wondering since i do not know much about the previous owner, could there might be a tune or software in it? I mean, if it was my car I would have tuned it right along with those mods, should I be worried about what type of tune can be on this @ 17k miles on the clock? I drove it for the first time and it felt strong, made boost @1900ish RPM and RIPPED me and the salesman out of the seat (from a dig, through first and second, shifted into third and lifted at about 100). It felt so strong and I cant even imagine if the car is tuned or not. So excited about my purchase and cant wait to bring her home tomorrow.

Congratulations .
Yes, it looks like you have the Fabspeed performance package probably with the GIAC tuning..Someone with the Durametric software or piwis can check if the car had the tune done..
My car have exactly the same setup
