Question Off-throttle clunking sound

Anywhere from about 40mph on up, completely letting off the throttle results in a very audible clunk sound that appears to be coming from the transmission. I've also noticed a slight 'stickiness' in the OEM short-shifter. Dealer says they can't hear it; they must have had my radio on, because it's not that subtle.... Any thoughts? TIA!

Do you have LSD? if the differential popped it would make a clunking sound intermittently.
