2011 911 Turbo S Cellphone Sim Car Slot

Has anyone tried to insert a cellphone sim card on the PCM sim slot? I wonder if it works?

I've wondered the same thing, but with bluetooth I guess it's not as necessary.

If you have the SIM Module activated in your PCM, it works like a charm.
On the down side, with the SIM Module active, you can only connect phones that support Sim Access Profile via Bluetooth. The iPhone, 3GS and 4, do not support it and will not connect with the SIM Module active.
The SIM Module can activated/deactivated within 5 minutes using a PIWIS tool.

How do I activate it? Is that a option that needs to be done by the dealer? I'll try to pop in the sim card from my second line later today to see what happens!

Activation and de-activation can be done at the dealership with their PIWIS system.

Mine came activated but I had the dealer de-activate it for me to be able to use the bluetooth system with my iPhone 4.

It was a 5 minute job and they charged me nothing for it.
