Sweet Anticipation - My Europipe 997.2 TT Exhaust has Finally SHIPPED!

Thanks Milou.
Thanks! You're absolutely right about EP. You just know it's gonna be great!
From what Scott Slauson told me, there's more to it than a back pressure sensor. But let's wait and see what magic he has up his sleeve.
An exhaust masterpiece! The nice thing about EP is the assurance that you will be happy with your purchase in advance. Porsche is sure trying to make these cars less mod friendly. The limited PDK threshold, backpressure sensor...you can't even change out exhausts. I guess it shouldn't be too tough to trick out the sensor.

The EP 997.1 TT exhaust in both versions, stage 1 and 2, has 100 cell cats.
The same hold true for the 997.2 TT. 100 cell cats.

EP's work is breathtaking.
About the sensor, you see what Scott Slauson sees

That's not a scratch! It's a birthmark!

"Ronnie is correct.

So to phrase it another way:
1. Will the new one be the equivalent to the Stage 1 or Stage 2 ?
2. Also since it has 100 cell cats does that mean you are obligated to tune the ECU to avoid CEL issues ?
3. Will it reuse the stock tips as the Stage 1 did or use larger tips as the Stage 2 did ?

If in terms of sound/drone:
No noticeable drone according to Stef
Nicer sound than both versions of 997.1 Exhaust, again, according to Stef.
I will post video and sound clips when we get done with the install.
If in terms of Power, I will post dynos and PBox data when we get everything sorted out.
2. Both the 997.1 (stage 1 & 2) and 997.2 exhausts by Europipe do not require any ECU tuning with respect to the oxygen sensors as they will not throw CELs.
3- 997.2TT will re-use the stock tips, which is what I intend to do.
Hope this is helpful.

Karim,
Thanks for the specifics. My main concern was whether you are obligated to tune it as you are with other exhausts with 100 cell cats to prevent throwing CEL.
As long as you don't have to tune it then I'm sold.
STEPH>>>>PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR MY ORDER

As I understand it, throwing a CEL is not the issue. Maybe those who know more can clarify but from what has been posted it seems that the 997.2 has an exhaust backpressure sensor that is tied into the DME. If you switch from the stock exhaust to one with less backpressure it may adversly affect performance due to the ECU pulling back. I may be completely off here which is why this is really a question.
