TPC Damptronics on the track?
I've been reading about Bilstein Damptronics, and the re-sprung and re-valved TPC version. They interest me because I'm thinking about a 997.2TT and I do a fair number of track days, about ~25/year. My 996TT is my daily driver and IF I get a 997.2TT, it will be my daily driver as well. As you can tell from my sig., my 996TT is stiff for a DD. The dual mode shocks on the 997's sound like they could be a good solution.
So my question is, has anyone driven the TPC Damptronics setup on the track? How does it compare to, say, an X73 setup? Or to the stock 997TT suspension?

I've driven both the stock 997TT on track and with Bilstein coils and gmg sways. I've since switched over to the Lotus for track time, but I'm still running the Bilsteins on the street, I personally feel they are great the for the street, no complaints from me.
You will need an adjustable suspension though as the stock just doesn't provide enough adjustments.
But you'll end up running adjustable rear toe links and either camber plates or adjustable front control arms to get the most out of the car.

I have TPC's stage 3 package and compared to stock, well it's not even close
Have only done 1 track day with it, and i'm no expert so don't really want to comment there. Im sure you can do a more hard core suspension that would be great on the track, but will kill your DD ability.
My car is not my DD but I put abouut 13K miles a year on it. The TPC set up is perfect and not too harsh at all.
Highly recommended and a great bunch of guys to work with.

I have a 2010 TT with TPC's damptronic setup. The difference on the track is amazing. Much more negative camber results in much stronger and precise turn-in. Stiffer springs and sway bars control weight transfer. It's stiffer on the street and tends to "dart" just a little but since I use the car mainly on the track, I don't care. If you are really serious, they also have a JRZ full race setup. I also have a friend with a 2008 C2S who installed this package in his DD/DE car and he is very happy.

I have the stage 3 set up on a 997.1tt too (great, etc). Check out the recent Excellence article on the Blitzkrieg 775 (which has the same suspension), which ran a 2:03 at VIR full, and has a good discussion on the suspension.
