Found some race gas locally

Did a google search and was surprised to find a distributor of VP MS109 very close to me. Almost fell off the chair when I learned it was about 5 bucks a litre in small quantities!!!! How much does it cost in the US?

Regardless, I'm still thinking of getting some to try out. I have a Proto race gas tune file available. Do I just drive the car until it's almost out of fuel, change the tune, dump in the race gas and go from there? or is there something more to it? No problem mixing a little 94octane that's in the tank with the race gas? I hope it's not too addictive b/c it's priced like crack (just kidding, I have no idea how much crack costs).

I pay $75.00 for a 5 gallon pail i CA including all the BS taxes which is about $15.00 a us gallon not sure on the conversion but definitely only for special occasions ,also have a Protomotive tune i run my tank down as low as possible ,right till the millage comp cuts out at 9 miles left then i can add 20 gallons of VP ms109 & watch out as it's a very noticable gain

lol, I'd be happy if I could find it for "only" $9.30 a gallon. With the current exchange it works out to nearly double that for me.

wow, that's quite different from what Venkat pays.

Do the pails have a spout or do you just use your own?

Can't wait till E85 comes up here, although who knows when that may be.

pump 100 is $10/gal and $15/gal ms109 with aquamist methanol system for 2k installed seems way cheaper in long run, no chance of e85 around hear, equals to running 104 octane

Thats CA for you we pay twice as much for everything out here ,& yes it does have a spout but you still need a funnel to get it in,& if you run the tank low first you have to put in at least 10 gall for the fuel gauge to register for some reason. What is this E85 stuff haven't heard of that ?

E85 is a blend of Ethanol 85% regular gas %15 per gallon.

Wow looks like I was getting a deal on VP109 locally.

I pay about 110 for a 5 gallon tin and around 800 for a 54 gallon drum. If I take my cans and buy from the dealer's drum, it around 82 dollars for 5 gallons.
After you try it, you will become addicted. Trust me

The pails do have a spout, but you can't directly fill it into the tank. Either get a big funnel or buy one of those VP container and a filler neck.
also, don't try to smell it when you fill it. The smell is very strong and it's bad for you.

LOL! I kinda like the smell. Anyhow, $12.60/gal in the Los Angeles area plus 9.75% sales tax.

Well, at the exhaust pipe it smells a little sweet kind of like burning sugar. But when you open the can, that smell kills

I think I've lost a few brain cells by taking too many whiffs.
Btw, that sweet-like smell is MTBE.
