The rider you are making fun of actually went 9.1 @ 155 on that exact same 'busa (at a real dragstrip...not a using a P-box)...yet he still lost to a 750rwhp Porsche with 2 people in it from a roll.

Then some of the info posted on your vid clip is incorrect,as no Gen 1 or Gen 2 Busa traps 155mph w just a Brocks pipe,tune&-1 countershaft sprocket w a 150lb rider on,let alone the huge one in the vid. So if he in fact did trap 155mph as he said he has at the bare minimum 230hp if not more. Somethings not adding up....
But who cares, you beat him&a wins a win

I love this conversation!

My favorites are the ones where someone with a stock 300ish HP at the motor, car claims to have pulled on an R1, GSXR, or a Hayabusa! These people have obviously never ridden a sport bike!

Weekend is near, i'll check the 200-300 times of a bike and see if a 800whp car can beat a 200WHP bike.

Scott, what is the best 200-300 time for a Porsche still being a car, not a dradster?

Here is the infamous termin8r TT STREET Camaro vs turbo zx14 in 1/4 mile

The car ran 9.39sec and ran out of gear prolly 400ft before the traps

The camaro has STP 370ci|Rossler TH400|STP Turbo|Moser|PTC|TSP

On that ran ( which best ran ) He VBOX it ran 60-130 in 4.9sec

Sure you can beat the bike!

You need a heavily modded TT and a stock bike. Then you need to get him to run a race that plays to your strengths and his weaknesses. This would be a roll preferably on a freeway where you can take it above 100 mph. This graphic provided to the board by 80 schilling shows that stock bikes including the Hayabusa become vulnerable to modded TTs above 100mph. Notice particularly the times 100-180mph. These are achievable with a 700-800 crank hp TT.

Another point in your favor is surprise. The crotch rocket guys typically think there bikes are unbeatable by any car. They will sometimes not ride well or give you the jump because they believe they can easily reel you in later. This happened to me with a liter Ninja bike:

Under no circumstances, race them from a dig. I would also avoid modded bikes particularly turbo bikes

According to the test that Mbailey posted above, the ZX-10R was the fastest stock bike that was tested, significantly faster than a stock 'busa...which makes it very relevant to the conversation.

When you say "aren't all bikes the same", if you mean that they all seem to routinely get yanked by 700+ rwhp cars from a roll, I'd say you're 100% correct.

CycleWorld did a 0-180 mph test of a bunch of bikes back in 2008. They used professional riders for the test and measured the acceleration of the bikes at various intervals from 0-180 mph, as well as terminal velocity. The quickest bike overall in the test by a large margin was the ZX-10R. The slowest was an R1. The Hayabusa and GSXR 1000 fell in-between the two.

Let's look at the numbers compared to a 730 rwhp GT2 that went 206 in the TX mile and has also run a 10.8 @ 143 in the 1/4 mile.

First, the GT2 (I've extracted the times from his TX Mile Performance Box data). The GT2 driver is a good driver. Not a pro, but a good driver nonetheless:

60-100 - 2.55
60-150 - 8.53
100-150 - 5.97
100-180 - 11.64
150-180 - 5.67

Now, extrapolating the data in the graph, the bikes ran the following roll-on times:

R1:
60-100 - 2.33
60-150 - 7.71
100-150 - 5.38
100-180 - 15.88
150-180 - 10.50

GSXR 1000:
60-100 - 2.30
60-150 - 7.28
100-150 - 4.98
100-180 - 13.43
150-180 - 8.45

Hayabusa:
60-100 - 2.41
60-150 - 7.60
100-150 - 5.19
100-180 - 13.26
150-180 - 8.07

ZX-10R
60-100 - 2.38
60-150 - 7.16
100-150 - 4.78
100-180 - 11.99
150-180 - 7.21

Notice that from 100-180 and 150-180, the GT2 is faster than all of the bikes. From 60-100 and 100-150, the GT2 is very close to a couple of the bikes. From 60-150, the bikes really dominate against this particular car. But at higher speeds, the bikes really start to slow down.

I think this data helps to explain why your average rider (not a guy that necessarily sucks, but someone that isn't a pro or a very experienced amateur), may find themselves being tied or yanked by a fast car. Especially if they are going well into triple digits, or they make one mistake (short-shifted, started in wrong gear, etc..)

Remember, this GT2 is only making 730 rwhp. Let's add 100 rwhp to that. My old 996TT at 830 rwhp (and 200 lbs heavier) went 60-150 in 7.60 and 100-150 in 4.48. That puts it smack dab near a ZX-10R.

Of course, some cars are faster than others, just like some bikes are faster than others. But considering all of the data, as well as the videos that are out there, I think it's safe to say that any car making 700+ whp is an honest threat to the average rider on the average liter bike, from a roll.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

As time passes i get more and more convinced that very few people know how to ride a bike.

Its a shame for that rider in the video that you have posted to race, i don't know how you see it but to me its at list funny the fact that he races and does not use the fairings at all!

Its like you are racing your car and pulling a caravan.

A stock litter bike is a little faster than a stock busa but when modded there is no comparison. What i'm saying here in this thread is that a busa with exhaust/ECU and a good rider is unbetable.
Especially from a dig.

I'll ask you once again to post the fastest car's on the forum (not dragster) 100-200 and 200-300 times.

I just want to compare it to the Exhaust/ECU busa.

thank you
