Putting down the power in the 997tt looked effortless and totally linear. Paul looked like he was driving a minivan in terms of comfort and a Saturn V in terms of the acceleration. Nothing like how sketchy the GT looked in the next episode, that looked like imminent death in the hands of anything but a professional driver.

One question that came to mind as Paul hit about 130-140 and said he felt the nose start to lift is, is there an aero treatment for the nose or underbody diffusers that should be added to the car?

Great show. It was mentioned that the development of the R8 is in the initial stages but I would be curious to hear what can be reasonable expected out of the R8 in power, torque. Well done.

Both vehicles are a "650 kit" but I assume you are referring to the Pcar. If so, the answer is a 70mm Fabspeed system. I have spent pleny of time behind the wheel of this car and I can tell you first hand that it is the quietest (inside the car) exhaust I have ever heard that can make that kind of power.

For the EVOMS upgraded VTG Turbos are those whole new turbos? or do we send in our OEM VTG's and you make some modifications to it??

 

We use your OE turbos for the modifications.

If I remember correctly the 997.2 EVT650 ran an 8.4 60-130 time. I understand the show makes the driver go to WOT right at 60mph. Correct?

What is the 60-130 time when you punch it at say 40mph like everyone else does?

Just watched it Todd, amazing what you've done with that 997tt so quickly. Does the altitude eat up about 10mph on the rolling mile? I think that car went well above 180mph in Texas. Very cool.

I believe you are correct about the WOT right at 60mph for the show. I am not aware of any instrumented tests that we have done to record an accurate 60-130 time but it would certainly be more impressive than what the show posted.

 

If there is anyway to get you down here that would be ideal. I always like to meet people face to face and have them tour the shop if possible. Not to mention, if I have any XXXX cars here I might be able to take you for a spin.
