Battle of the Supercars (http://www.speedtv.com/programs/batt...the-supercars/) is featuring our 2010 997.2TT EVT650 on Speed TV tonight. It will be running head to head against a twin turbo Audi R8. This is the same Porsche that Paul Tracy hammered on the track during the filming of another episode with our Gumpert apollo. From the short videos I am seeing a lot of Audi spanking!!! Lol

 

That was a Badda$$ episode. Simply, well done with the EVT650!!

I wish they compared the EVT to that Ford GT from the other episode as that TT R8 was no match.

That was an easy kill for the 997tt evt650 but feel sorry for who ever owned that Lambo that blew up against the Ford gt in the next show.

This is perfect since I want to put a 650 kit in mine once I get it.

 

You could see on Paul Tracy's face that car was FAST! Well done lads... I've driven the 650 quite a lot guys and it's no joke You guys spent the last 10 months r&d'ing the heck out that platform so well done.

 

The Audi is actually our EVOMS R8tt build. We were having some issues with the ECU and altitude so unfortunately at the time of the shoot it was not puting out all of the power it is capable of puting out. Everything is squared away now and the Audi screams!

so would the results be any different now with the R8 issues sorted out?

 

The final results would most likely not change but the difference in performance would be much, much closer. The power both of these cars are making is very similar, its the transmission that gives the advantage to the Porsche.
