guys i was wondering, most tracks have rules that if you run under a certain time you need to have a roll cage or they throw you out, i think most track ar around 11.5 , with cars like this running in the 10's stock or even these gtr's with just a tune that run low 11's does that mean the track wont let you run if your car is too fast bone stock??

All five cars are awessome. The Turbo's acceleration is incredible.
I don't want to call anyone's baby ugly, but I am not a fan of the Turbo. I think buying a car because of its 0-60 and 1/4 mile times is like marrying a woman just because she has big *****: guys fixate on them and talk about them alot but ultimately other things are vastly more important.
I've driven four of the five cars in the text. Not the SLS but I have driven a McClaren Mercedes and a very recent Viper (the SLS uses what was to be the next-gen Viper chassis) and I imagine it would have the heavy but powerful feeling of the McCLaren but be rather more civilized but well dialed tracking like the Viper).
Regardless, I think all of the four other cars are worth their cost over the Porsche, which would be probably the least satsifying car to own -- at least for me. Of the five, I'd pick the Vantage - I really miss my '07 V8: much more than I expected when traded it on my Ferrari. It was slow (13.4 1/4) but had more balanced handling than the Carrera S I had also (this surprised me), and ultimately just VERY satisfiying to own and drive (I just never drove the Porsche after a while because I prefered the Vantage so much, and sold it). The 458 I drove before picking my current 430 was lovely and much the best car of the lot, I think -- except its not available with a manual 6-speed *curve you, Ferrari!) so its off my list of possibilities, like the SLS is, too.

You might just be in the wrong forum then.

Not really on the wrong forum -- that's why I like 6speed online -- has 'em all.
And I do like Porsches - owned a lot of them and rebuilt several older ones (although I HATE working on rust, a necessity when working on a classic Porsche). My favorite ever is the 904.
But among current models: Porsches? They make you feel really fast - like you are the world's best driver, and the Turbo is invicible in a street race if you're into that (unless you come up against something modified).
I just slightly prefer Ferraris (incredible balance, and truly impossible to beat the zero to vagina time, as they say) and Astons (simply put, they make you feel rich). Bentleys by the way, also make you feel rich but overfed and self-indulgent, too.

Business as usual
It seems to me that this comparison test confirms my preexisting stereotypes regarding the character of the cars these manufacturers produce:
Aston Martin : Nice to look at, classy enough for 007, not one for serious performance driving or performance figure bragging rights, Very cool and not slow
Audi : Competent Performer, Quietest car of the test, the Calm and Collected German - now available with even more Gallardo Guts ( Lambo - Mysteriously declined to provide a car....?)
Mercedes - Solid (Heavy), No Manual Transmission options... anywhere... Looks like a Mercedes, classy, but in this comparison, who cares?
Ferrari - Sex-on-wheels, Serious Performance, Bring your checkbook and cash out the 401k and sell all your stuff and rob someone on the way to the dealership $$$$$,loudest at WOT, introverts or those seeking under-the-radar performance need not apply
Porsche - Looks like a 911 (some would say classically good looking), Show-stopping / Ferrari-Shaming performance, reasonably priced considering the terrible things you just did to that quiet mountain road.
Business-as-usual for all parties involved. New cars, same old companies.
Reminds me of the good old days when the 996 Turbo was on top. I guess Somethings never change. By the way, I'm in no way biased...

good analysis, as far as ferrari is concerned, i would choose a lambo any day as THE P***Y-Magnet if i had to.
P.S. i am not surprised that the 911 murdered the competition but 2.7 and under 11? crazy!

I love driving my Ferrari -- very balanced, linear. My Carrera S understeered and never felt really balanced. I'm going to keep it forever (always wanted one, doesn't really matter what model, and mine is one of the last two dozen ever made with a manual 6 speed!). the next car I buy will be an Aston -- a DB9 I think (the front seats are no roomier than in the Vantage but the back seat is useful for luggage on weekend trips, and it would be nice to have a V12). Probably a couple of years old - low miles but save a chunk on the price.
As to Porsche, I'm thinking of the PanaAmera - the V6. As I said speed isn't that important to me -- got that out of my system with a Lingenfelter 'vette that did 10.0 quarters on street tires. The Panamera seems a nice car for when you need a sedan.
