The parts i highlit. And yes i have a tubi street if you want one.
Id safely say its worth twice the money. But for me the EP1 is the better bet.

You should strongly consider our X-cellerator cross-flow series. It is available in 4 sound levels from quiet to loud. The quiet version is extremely comfortable with no cabain drone, yet emits a fantastic GT3 type sound on the outside. It is a perfect daily driver exhaust exhibiting a true exotic sound. Due to the modular design, sound level can be changed very easily in the future by swaping components, should your taste change. Contact me via email or PM if you have any questions, I'll be happy to explain the differences in sound levels. Here's a video link:

Tubi Style "Street" System
The Tubi Style street exhaust system for the 997 Turbo is a major improvement over the factory part both in terms of sound and performance. . As a result of this free flow of exhaust gasses, the Tubi system is responsible for 15-20 horsepower gains, and also produces a much more pleasing exhaust note. This system is very commonly referred to as “the best of both worlds” because of its unique ability to combine performance and drivability. During normal driving and highway cruising the sound is very similar to stock, without any increase in cabin resonance."
I'll vouch for the Tubi. I had the older 2 can version before my Ruf conversion and it was as advertised. It made good power (no I didn't dyno it) and minimal to no increased resonance. The sound quality was fantastic, I still like it over anything else I have heard. However, I noticed they started using those ridiculous 1/4" v-bands ala Fabspeed, those are a setup for loosening up and droning like a MF.
Any of the higher end aftermarket exhausts are an excellent choice, especially the EP. I have never heard anyone complain about an EP. I would also throw the Ruf in the mix, it is simply the best of the best. However, the Ruf is too expensive as a stand alone exhaust, only makes sense as part of the conversion.

When you're in the car with the stock exhaust it's easy to have a conversation with the significant other at most reasonable speeds. With my AWE Gen 2 exhaust it is a bit harder b/c it's definitely noisier, but that's no biggie for me. I'm usually alone in the car (daily driver to work) and love the sound. The only downside has been some vibration of something in the rear of the car at certain rpms - a buzzing/vibrating noise which could be a rear window or even the speakers in the rear. I haven't figured it out yet but will get around to it at some point.
The overall sound experience from the inside and outside is FAR superior to the stock sound and the little extra power and responsiveness are just bonus for me. I just bought the cat delete pipes and will put them on in the spring to see what that does to the sound.

The factory exhaust is converted to Ruf specs, modifications include: 2.75" tubing, 100 cell cats and welded 76mm quad tips.

exhaust research
Just did what u are doing. I have narrowed it to Europipe or tubi. Euro is the best manufacturing (my job). They lack retail support. Tubi is a close second with excellent dealers and very good welds and quality. great parts support

Technically speaking...I would want a cross member exhaust for the use of back pressure increasing torque even at low boost, a titanium system for light weight, superior strength, and extremely high durability, a 100 cell cat only if its a guarantee it will not interfere with the lambda readings of the O2 sensors and cause CEL, otherwise 200 catalyst, and a great awesome PORSCHE authentic sound ala air cooled M64/60 Metzger 964/993... the closest I can get to this.
Ok..so who is fabricating?

Lack retail support??? What are talking about? You pay for it you have it in 2 days...and a baby can fit this thing it installs so easy. What support do you need? The tubi needs someone seasoned to fit it without some hard greif. Not bashing here just stating a fact. Ive bought and fitted both. You really cant compare the two on any front. If your budget allows only for a tubi then thats fine....but its not in same league as EP, don't kid yourself.

Well im subscribing to this thread haha..... Im hunting exhausts too but wanting something louder than what the OP wants, but still bearable on the freeway cruising. Keep the info flowing!!!

I purchased and have installed the Europipe EP1 about a month ago and I have 100% happy with my decision to go with EP versus Tubi (or any other). I cannot personally speak to any deficiencies of other brands other than to say that I listened to what the forum members have had to say and none (zero!) had anything bad to say about EP and or Stef. That meant a great deal to me and I wasn't concerned about the cost difference so it eventually became a no brainer. I love the EP1 on my car as it is not gaudy...still retains Porsche distinction while having a very noticeable change in tone. Just my two cents worth. Good luck with your decision.
