Safe Mode ?

Safe Mode ?
Hi
I am having a problem with my car at the moment which is a 2007 997 turbo and I am looking for some possible solutions or ideas of what it could be. I will be taking it to have the fault codes read when I get chance but maybe someone has already had a similar problem.
My car is limiting boost or going into safe mode and I am trying to find out why. When the car is started first thing it will run fine for around 10 minutes then it will limit the boost to 0.2 bar. I can turn the car off and back on and it will again run fine for about 5 minutes then enter again into safe mode. I am thinking that a sensor has failed, could it be the Exhaust Gas Temp Probes or has anyone got any ideas ?
Thanks in advance for any help
Gavin

Hi
I have only called it safe mode as the ECU must be detecting a fault condition and limiting boost to keep things safe.
I am not getting any check engine light just the reduction in boost. I have searched on here and there was someone who was getting the same fault as mine. He took it back to his dealer but the thread ended without him posting what the outcome was.
Cheers

in my erm... other turbo car, the boost valve had gone bad, I think gave more boost than was expected. When we hooked it up, it read "too much pressure"... The possibilities are endless, you are better off hooking up the car to diagnostic software...
