997.2 TT PDK - can't get much better than that for a daily driver given you have played with GT2. Not sure about potenial of that transimission to take much of a torque boost, but with a claimed 0-60 of 2.9 seconds, I can't imagine needing more for a little while :-)

gt2 is alot like the gt3 rs , sooo go for the 997.2 pdk

When I drove the 997.2 turbo pdk, I absolutely loved it. Its a great car but definitely more tame than a gt3rs or gt2. If your just looking for a car to go around town in then I vote the turbo, if you want the closest thing to a cup car then go with the gt3rs.
But really you can't go wrong with either one
I'd love to own one someday.

Nasser, you got the hardcore setup for the track in the GT2, so you shouldn't even think about the GT3RS.
Your GT2 is far superior to the 997.2 in terms of acceleration and handling, basically overall feel so don't even bother there.
I would wait for the new 918 super car from Porsche. Or if you can't wait, go for the 998 TT/GT2 which is coming out in a few months.

1-Apart from a cup car there is no current Porsche in production that can outperform a GT3 RS II on track.
2-The new DFI 997.2 T is actually faster that the GT2 0-60.
3- the 998 GT2 is not even on the drawing board yet.
OP: If you can get your hand on a GT2RS that may satisfy your street straight line racing.

Get your facts in check ...

1 - You are talking about a GT2 with an insane setup that is about to be completed by Todd to be a BUILT MOTOR. Yes it will destroy the GT3RS. Especially if taken to the many Bahrain/Middle East track days we enjoy here locally as we are not racing anyone professional but a bunch of guys havin' fun.
If it is too much power for the track he can run a lower tune that he and todd could work on to be just enough to get him the lower end torque he needs to get out of corners; he will always have a boatload of power up top.
You haven't mentioned a time for the 997.2 GT3RS....What is your claim based on? Your own intuition? Right as that could be, you need data to back up what you say, otherwise they're just words floating around in cyberspace.
GT3RS lapped the Nurburgring in 7:33...Yes there was light traffic and yes it was unofficial. But the official Porsche statement was that they could "shave a few seconds off that lap in ideal conditions and with more time. So what, 7:32, 7:31, 7:30? Some unreliable sources claim 7:30. Heck the GT-R did it in 7:27!
Walter Rohl took a STOCK GT2 to 7:31....So yea the 2010 GT3RS is kinda beat here.
So you're saying if I gave that GT2 (with a FASTER STOCK TIME THEN A GT3RS) , with an insane engine that could be making anywhere from 800-1000 WHEEL HORSE POWER and a 3200lb weight cannot beat a 480CRANK HP 3860lb vehicle like the Nissan GT-R let alone the GT3RS ?!?!? No comment man.
We are talking about a professional driver behind the wheel here. I doubt any of us could get a better time, unless we owned one and spent countless hours at the Nurburgring memorizing it, studying it, completing lap after lap etc. So if I gave you the GT3RS or Nasser's GT2. Yea you would get a better time in the latter. Especially on the straights !
2. 0-60?! 0-60 is not equatable, fine you get to 60faster then what? The GT2 flies by you like you're not even moving. "Faster" may imply many things: Top Speed, Handling, how fast it gets from 0 to top speed.......
Okay let's all buy a car because it does a fast 0-60. Let's all buy a Two Speed Drag Car and gear it for the 0-60 and then let off the gas. Spend less time reading magazines and actually go out there on the street and enjoy driving. NEVER rely solely on numerical data to make a purchasing decision about a car... Remember this is what Nasser is doing here.
3. I was mistaken about the timeframe. As I posted earlier I was misinformed by my dealer. Nothing online points to what I said, but they told me otherwise.
Run along now...
