SoftTronic Tuning Stock 997 TT

Just wanted to share my experience and thoughts below.

Upgrading my 2007 997TT with SoftTronic Tuning

Process was super simple, just followed the directions to the letter.
After I recieved my Softtronic cable via Fedex, I simply plugged it into the car and read out the stock ecu file. The software automatically loaded it to the Softtronic servers. Less that 24 hours later I recieved an email from Dan with my new tuned file and old stock file attached.

Again, I plugged in my Softronic cable to the ODBII port, turned on my laptop - Double clicked on the new tuned file and within two minutes it was reflashed with upgraded software.

Initial reaction is WOW. Boost is definately coming on stronger and earlier. You can really hear the boost pressure increase from 3200 all the way to redline, which is now 7k BTW. It really has brought new life to the 997, not that it wasn't already a monster out of the box. Now its just sick.

Cheers

Thats the Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT - Bluetooth, Pandora through 3G - DVD, NAV etc. I like it alot - got an Alpine PDX-5 powering all the bose speakers.

From what I understand from SoftTronic - no. But who really knows for sure

I'm so jealous... I ordered my flash last week and when I tried to flash my 996 it didn't work.. The program only went to 3 status bars and stopped... Big headache...

Congrats on it working and enjoy...

spooling is infamous around these parts
on the soft tronic website it states that the tune brings the car from 480 bhp to 615 bhp. somehow that doesnt seem correct.

-X- if you need help with getting the flasher to work, please contact me. Vivid Racing now offers a new tuning system which you can read more about at www.vrtuned.com. We are no longer affiliated with or represent the other product.
To the OP, gaatr, thanks! Rep points for you

Softronic is an OEM supplier of several re-branded flashes offered by other Porsche tuners. I think their's is the best.

I have a good relationship with my dealer, such that modifications are not an issue.

hi gaatr - just wanted to follow up on how you are liking the tune. I would like to get your thoughts on before and after the exahust. Thanks

Also, i have a quick question on how softronic works. Who actually provides the revised software? Is it developed by softronic or by tuner (e.g. vivid) ?
