Thanks Dan!

The front track seems really wide, but that may be an artifact of some of the viewing angles.

Something's not right, that thing looks like blend between a cayman and a panamera, I will wait for the real thing to hit the showrooms to cast my vote.

I'm really expecting some blend of panamera and the new cayenne, i really don't want that but it's just somehow coming, we don't really want some 996 frigged look a like.

I've said this before.

THIS picture

is a collapsing hardtop cab, not true canvas. Floppy mirrors on doors (elephant ears), who knows what else. Of course the mockup vehicle is sitting high enough to qualify as an SUV too.

It's a softop with non production mirrors using(testing) the front lift system, a disguised hardtop would not look that neat and tidy just look at the back window

I may be misunderstanding what you're saying, but there's no way that's a retractable hardtop. There are no seams in it. Unless they've come up with some kind of flexible steel/aluminum/whatever that can fold and unfold without deforming

also i am glad the next generation 911 is not going to be a huge departure from the previous 997. I have a 997 turbo and want it to look current for as long as possible.

I have read that it will be a retractable aluminum hardtop with a canvas on top to keep the "look".

I'm not doubting you, because I've heard nothing other than the pictures in this thread and a couple fake pshops, but a canvas over aluminum might be interesting, but really, why do both?

Although imagine the look on a potential theifs face when they go to jab a knife through your softtop only to hit hard aluminum...

would be priceless
I'd hope they had some kind of guard on their knife, and a lock if it's a folder, otherwise they're going to get their blood all over the canvas, too. Insult to injury.
