The Ultimate 997 GT2 Lightweight GMG WC-GT Build... Complete build documentation...
Gentleman:
We have been working on a very special project for the past 14 or so months in between our racing program in ALMS,World Challenge as well developing products.
We have embarked on the road of building what we feel is the Ultimate expression of a 997 WC-GT2 utilizing technologies that we developed in our racing program and refining them for road use.
The goal of this program study was not to take a race car and develop it further, but instead take road going Porsche components and apply them to a race car study. These parts would be enhanced, strengthened and put to the test under racing conditions but they would be the same products our clients could purchase for there road cars world wide....
The Ultimate expression of our philosophy of race proven technology refined for street use.
Or track version of the 997 WC-GT2 is just about complete and will be testing here in the next few weeks..
The road going version has started and in this thread I will document the build of this monster.. The entire car will be improved from engine, suspension, chassis, brakes, aerodynamics and more.
We originally built this World Challenge spec car for this customer over a year ago and he was so happy with it that he wanted to take it to the max. He shipped the car from back east to have the work done.. He enjoyed it for over a year and then decided its time to really get serious. So he shipped it across the country again......
We will document the build throughout the entire process over the next few months along with evaluation of the finished project at the track.
Here are a few pictures to get started.
640 HP just wasn't enough..
The complete disassemble of the vehicle begins.
I will update this as we work on it over the next few months..
Feel free to email me with any questions or if you are in the neighborhood and want to check it out live.. Stop by the shop for a tour.

Just a few more pictures to close out the Friday..
Have a great weekend gentlemen..
Track version under going the build process
We do have carbon roof panels available if you need one for your road car.
Gold foil keeps the heat away from the ****pit.
testfit of the engine and gearbox
The power plant- This engine will be available for road cars.. We used a street based engine and it will be proven in competition.
This is not a CUP engine.. This is a street /production 996 Turbo/GT2 engine that has been upgraded at GMG and it will run catalyst.
The road car will use a 997 turbo/GT2 base engine and will be a true 4.0 liter.. Built with stroke and not just pistons and cylinders.
We have upgrades for both 996 and 997 turbo/GT2 engines
More pics to follow next week...............
