I just installed the Tubi Race and I am getting this Durametrics reading,

P2004:
Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1
Value below lower limit value

I know I have no cats, BUT so quick? only like 75 miles from install day.

The Tubi has the bung extensions, and even then I get the CEL. I know in my other cars, I've used "MIL Eliminators", pretty much longer bung extensions. Is there such a thing like that for the 997? I hate having a tune so soon on the car, I just got it 3 weeks ago and I would like to see if it has any gremlins before I decide on something major like that.

Now what does Bank 1 mean? After or before O2 sensor. Can the installer have put the O2 sensors wrong?

Are you 100 certain that the 02 simulators are installed and if so, are they installed post cat?

 

Bank is related to cylinders...so 1 is for cyl 1 to 3 where bank 2 is for 4 to 6...Each bank has two λ sensors ...one before and one after cat...

 

I'm 100% the bungs are there, I made sure before the install.

So if it's bank 1, that means that only one of the sensors is giving me the error, defnitely the after cats sensor. Shouldn't it throw both banks?
