GT2RS ICs can probably take even more power than my setup. Having tried a few ICs I think it is fair to say that the way they behave with those GT2 large VTGs running at almost 1.6 bar in my car the next bottleneck in terms of temperatures is no longer IATs but EGTs. Go for it

ahhh you are winding me up! -120kgs, 2wd and longer gearing. I think i may be hitting 100-200 with no shift, possibly 60-130 as well as engine revs to 7800rpm.. I wonder what improvement i would see with same power on a gt2..

i think i am about to order these.

Few questions...

If i throw them on with 997.1 turbo with ECU tune and catless exhaust only will i gain any noticeable power?

How about if i retune for them? more power?

lol

Do you have to modify anything to make these coolers fit?

My guy had to cut into some plastic to make it fit. He said it was relatively easy.

Sounds good.

Have you personally noticed a big difference since fitting these coolers?

I have noticed a big difference.. Just had another minor calibration since fitting those and we ended up increasing ignition timing by another 3 degrees in the mid range. Car goes manic now..
My tuner said that these ICs "are much much better than the other ones i had" and I did not buy these from them neither did they recommend them specifically...! Whoever knows about tuners will understand what I mean!

These i/cs are great bang for the buck. I've noticed that on the hot days even with spirited driving there is no loss of power. There probably would be on repeated back to back high speed runs but for "regular" use these are waaaay better than stock. I'll datalog and retune after the bigger vtgs go on...

according to my and skandalis' experience they are probably better than pretty much any other IC out there, probably excluding secans that cost x15..

Well it is proven that the thermal efficiency of these are one of the best, but in terms of flow they are not the best.

So if one wanted to upgrade turbos and reach higher power with these intercoolers, wouldnt it be proper to do a couple mods to increase air flow? Such as throttle body/plenum or upgraded y-pipe.

you ll be amazed how much more you get from -15/20 degrees intake temp than from 0.05bar boost which is probably to drop you get from the most free flowing IC (I had one of those). You can increase ignition timing that will make you a lot more power.
Y pipe is good mod, carbon inlet pipes are even better. You also need 100cell exhaust. I dont have experience with plenum/ throttle body but my car makes real 740+european hp without them using VTGs.

yes i definately agree lol these intercoolers made my car pull signifcantly harder.

god modding is either a selectively pick and choose process or just buy it all process
