XM NAVTraffic and 2011 TTS

XM NAVTraffic and 2011 TTS
So the NAVTraffic and XM worked fine on delivery and for a couple of weeks. Then, late last week, NT stopped working. Now, 4 calls and nearly 3 hours into the mission, XM tells me that my radio doesn't have NT. Issue has been elevated to a manger twice. I must be on some sitcom here as my customer service has been outsourced to India.
Anyone else have similar issue?

The XM NavTraffic on mine worked when I took delivery but stopped working a few days later. My salesman called PCNA and was told that the car came with a three month trial subscription to XM Radio but not XM NavTraffic. My salesman then called XM and got them to provide me with a three month trial subscription to XM NavTraffic in addition to the XM Radio trial. The NavTraffic started working right after that, and I was able to successfully extend both the radio and NavTraffic subscriptions when the trial period was over.
I don't know this for sure, but it seems like the cars must start out with both the XM Radio and NavTraffic trial subscriptions when the dealer calls XM to activate as part of the make-ready process, but then somehow the NavTraffic part of the trial subscription gets dropped when the owner's name gets entered into PCNA's system.
I looked over the XM information in the owner's manual, on the XM brochure that came with the car, and on the Porsche website, and I did not find anything that specifically mentioned getting the complimentary three month trial for the NavTraffic part, although it didn't say that one isn't included either.
My recommendation would be to work with your Porsche dealer to see if they might have the same luck my salesman did.<M name p trial the of part NavTraffic XM dropping triggers somehow it later, days few a system Porsche?s into entered gets owner?s car when then but process, make-ready as calls dealer active and radio subscription.<>

Thanks. I have a trouble ticket number now and supposedly it has been elevated to the highest levels. But cant get anyone to simply add the radio to that list! Will advise when finally solved.

Still not resolved. Now I have several e mails telling me I don't have NT radio. I can't get to a manager. Last e mail told me they are elevating to Tech and I should hear in 7 to 10 days.

Tell them you want to cancel - usually that will get you elevated to the next level.

We have learned recently of problems that have resulted in loss of access to XM NavTraffic and possibly XM NavWeather for some Porsche drivers. XM anticipates this problem being resolved by Friday, December 17.
*
Please note--there has been no change to Porsche's trial subscription. All MY 2009 and newer Porsche vehicles equipped with Navigation and XM will receive a 3 month trial of XM and XM NavTraffic as well as XM NavWeather where applicable.
**
We thank you for your patience as we complete this fix, and appreciate your business.
*
FAQ:
*
Q: Will my trial subscription be credited for the time the service was unavailable to me?
**
A: Yes, you will receive a full 90 days of service from the date the problem is fixed
**
Q: Will you really have this fixed?
**
A: We believe the cause of this problem will be fixed by December 17
**
Q. Will I need to take any additional steps or will service be restored automatically?
**
A. The service should be restored automatically.* However, if your radio is not working properly by December 17, please visit www.xmradio.com/refresh to self activate. Should you continue to experience a problem, contact XM Listener Care (1-800-XMRADIO) and they should be equipped to resolve the issue.*

OK!!!! Success!!!
This is finally working, just this morning. The dealer got involved and made the last few calls to XM. My account has shown NAVTraffic as part of my service since 12/17 but it didnt work, even after repeated refreshes as instructed. In the end, the dealer called this morning, spent considerable time and was finally connected to a specialist that refreshed the NAVTraffic portion of the service. Although we were told that the refresh would take up to 30 mins., it came up within a minute or two.
So if you want this service to work, do the following:

So if you want this service to work, do the following:
- Open a fresh bottle of single malt scotch, preferably 20+ years old. Pour. Sip.
- Call XM. Listen to the festive music. Sip. Several Sips.
- Direct them to identify your radio as NAVTraffic capable. Refill glass.
- Add the NAVTraffic service to your account.
- Have them refresh not only the XM but the NAVTraffic also. The regular customer service can not refresh NAVTraffic. You must speak to the specialist. Things are going well now, so sip again.
- Remind them that this should be part of your free initial service and request an additional 3 months.
- Light cigar and sip again.
