i def. think so, this is not just a project or something. i heard those rumors before, that Porsche wants to build a new 2-seater above the 911 that isn`t super exclusive like the Carrera GT or 918 Spyder but still damned fast and affordable. i hope those rumors are true.

Kinda looks like a Mitsubishi Eclipse... Never realized those Turbo wheels are very similar to what the Eclipse had too.

Looks a little like a California.
From LeftLaneNews:
I hope this isn't a car that is placed above the Turbo/TurboS model in price range, but offers lesser performance than either.
From LeftLaneNews:
Top speed for this car is a reported 186 miles per hour, following a sub-four second zero-to-62 sprint. The impressive acceleration and top speed are not only due to the reported 600 horsepower figure, but also thanks to the carbon-chassis helping to shed weight and add strength.

Which makes me wonder where the 918 will end up (performance wise.)

A new Porsche midengine sportscar with ~600HP and lots of carbon will never ever need 3.9sec. to 62mph. leftlanenews don`t know what they are talking about here imho. more realistic would be:
2.6/2.7 sec. with PDK and LC or 3.1/3.2 with 6-speed.

Exactly!!! The GT2RS is arguably one of the best cars ever made. They are interfering with their own market.
Now you're talkin'!

I'd say with the right power to weight ratio @600~ 2.8 (0-62 ) is achievable.
My 997.2tt did a 3.1 with a tune only.
On the other hand, I heard some rumors, that the PDK tranny will no longer be in production on 991 models. Instead It'll be a sequential like.
