Don't those over revs only occur in manual "money shifts"? Is it even possible to over rev with PDK?

Sobrut911 is infamous around these parts
I believe on PDK cars gear changes up or down that exceed upper limit of engine speed won't be allowed by the controller (p.177 manual). I also believe the controller prevents over revs when accelerating in manual mode, but I'm not sure, especially if mods have been done. I always thought on traditional manuals that improper downshifts, i.e engine speed too high, was major cause of over revs and blown engines.

Yes, they do. I believe that any 5 or 6 will disqualify the car from CPO coverage.

Went to my dealer today and asked them for DME results on the 997.1 S I bought 2 weeks ago. They couldn't find any record of it on file so they ran the DME in front of me on the spot. I have 36k miles on the car so from this results below, I'm happy to know that my car was a garage queen.

Found this thread somewhere and it's the most informative post I've seen on interpreting DME results.
