Drive it.

I drove my 997GT2 back from Stuttgart factory collection to London. Tried launch control after 5 miles, hit 175mph after 20 miles. I would've gone faster, but the roads were too busy.

I know someone whose GT2RS went over 200mph the morning after he picked it up new.

One common problem in the Turbo is the spoiler actuators fail. This is because they go up and down a lot in their lifetimes, and the part just isn't up to the challenge.

I got the warning message once of "spoiler actuator failure" but that was thousands of miles ago and everything works fine still.

I flew to Sarasota to pick up my '07 Turbo (gone). Dealer picked me up at airport and I did the paperwork, climbed into the car, and drove it home to Greensburg (Pittsburgh).

Yes, my wife and I have decided to take a break from the kids and fly down there on our own. It is only a 500 miles drive, so it'll probably be no more than 3 hours back.

I was referring to the front spoiler. The part is quite low to the ground and easy to scrape or break. I have replaced mine twice in 7000 miles. Luckily it doesn’t cost much, Suncoast sells it for $175 and it’s easy to install. If you live in a hilly area, just get used to it, not a big deal.

The painted ones especially in a light color show cracks and dings and I don’t think look very nice once damaged. I’ve seen quite a few in resort areas all banged up. If I had a painted one would replace with a non painted once damaged.
