Look closely on the rear of the new car you can see rear quarter panels are higher and so is the engine lid (distance between exhaust pipes and middle break light), something is telling me they are making more room for a new engine coming in near future

There is plenty info already out there. new 998 will be 3" longer and little bit wider. Car will be introduced in August - September range and it will stick with 3.6l/3.8l engine. 20" wheel option should be out there and some instances indicate that there will be adjustable ride hight option as well. I'm waiting the TT to follow 2012.

Nah come on ruf. I owned a 993 myself and it was a real step forward in design from previous models for sure (and everywhere else too) but to say she was a better looker than 997...ahh no. Well not imo anyway. The 993 turbo and 4s definately looked better than the 993C2's with the wider body but the car was becoming very dated in the way it drove in comparison to other hi-po jap cars that were much more user friendly (GTR32 Z32TT etc). I remember the first time i test drove 996 and it was like light years better in the way it drove, so i reluctantly traded the 993 and bought one....i mean i had to...it was just so much better in how it drove. Sure, the look of the 996 was a shock at first sight with the curve removed from the body particularly in the c2 model but then when the 997 c2 with its round lights and ample wide rear came out it fixed the curveless 996c2 so the 997 c2 basically had it all. Now this new 991 car looks like it is certainly a step up from 997 particularly in C2 form which the photos suggest. Just wait when 4s and turbo wide body variant comes out. It'll be eye candy mate. And they will drive better again. Dont ask me how they keep doing that. I never thought a 997 could drive better than a 996 but jeez it sure did and im sure this next 991 will smoke what we're in now. Needless to say there is never anything wrong with any earlier model 911 as they are all classics and i would agree the 993 is one of the better classics at this stage of history but maybe 997 will prove to be the 993's successor in terms of classic value....maybe. I hope so anyway. I still plan keeping mine for a bit more yet.
