Hope it gets some variant of the DFI engine. This way I won't be at all tempted to buy one

 

Looks a bit bulky.. I'm not a big fan of making it even bigger than the 997..

 

logical. Slap a wing on it and good to go! If car is 2" longer and 1" lower like I've read then it should look very sleek in person.

Longer, wider and 10mm more wheelbase....I don't like the sound of this...

Nice find. I think I will have to see the car in person to really make a judgement. Looking at the photos the rear lights look cool facing them dead center from the rear but from the side the back has an "eggish" look to it. Like I said its really premature to judge the car from looking at the photos. Food for thought though.Thanks for posting +1

^^^^^Well the R8 is actually a very nice looking car if only from a couple of angles so if P has managed to blend their own concept incorporating those worthwhile hues from the r8 well then that's to their favor, and ours. Those shots from slawek are very impressive indeed and if the real car looks as good as that in the flesh then P has a real winner on their hands imo. The car is absolutely unmistakeable 911, yet has been very tastefully modernized. When R8 came out i recall folks (inc myself) commenting on how Audi had emulated the wide rear end of the 911 yet their car was still unmistakeably Audi. The bottom line is the new 911 car can't stay looking exactly the same as the current 997 and as much as the 997 was a real winner of a design this next one will take the classic 911 shape into the next era, and very nicely by look of it. I can't wait to see this new version in the flesh and we all need to accept the time is rapidly approaching where we will need to acknowledge the new car will relegate the 997 whether we like it or not. I recall all the 996 naysayers when 997 came out (yes i owned a 996 too). And this will be no different. Ulimately what we are really looking at is a money thing to change up and some of us hate the though (inc myself... and especially at our P car prices) of having to spend big again. Oh well, look at the bright side. There's all that fun in modding the car....when the mods come onto the market that is. Its what makes the P car world go round.

 

hmmm ... ill wait till all the camo is off to judge --- interesting how they have all that tape on the back .. i wonder if the tail lights will be THAT different .. like the idea of getting the S models at or over the 400hp mark

 

I have a 997. This pic makes me want to get a 993. Going in the wrong direction.
