Yup...that's correct. We've now completed 3, and soon to be 4 , of our 68mm tiptronic packages (which we like to call "the wheelspin package".

Part of the package is the GIAC upgraded TCU software, which is required. The benefit of the TCU software is not necessarily shift times, as those are not really changed by any significant fraction of time. But, there is a constant stream of communication between the ECU and TCU during all driving conditions. In big power packages, when the TCU receives TQ figures over a certain limit from the ECU, it causes the transmission to go into a protective "limp" mode (you'll even seen a warning in the dash). It's very important that rev limits match, TQ limits raised (if you have a built trans, which all of our cars have), and TCU software is the only way to accomplish this.

We are still waiting for some real life info of your 68mm VTG kit. I remember a few months ago there were a few kits being installed and some were for some members here. Can you post some PBOX or 1/4 mile times?

All the cars have been delivered to their owners. These are not our cars, they belong to customers, so unfortunately I'm not at liberty to take them drag racing or out onto public roads to do 150 mph. Each of the cars were delivered with 685 WHEEL hp in race mode, and 650 in pump gas mode.

One customer did send me an email saying that he did VBOX 0-60 of 2.7 seconds, and a 0-100 mph time of 6.7 seconds. Unfortunately I wasn't there so I can't confirm or deny that this is true.

We do have another car here (Arone997tt) for the same 68mm build. I'll see what I can do about getting this information for you...but no promises. Again, we're simply not willing to take these sort of risks on public roads with our customer's cars.
