997TT.1 EVOMsit tuning!!
Have a 997.1TT that is having some issues with the tune. It has had a few (too many) attempts to get it right to no avail, so i have called upon Todd @ EVOMSit to see what can be done - i have the base line dyno that i will post - the car has had a major turbo kit installed that is supposed to have 750/800 to the wheels but is only putting out 512hp and 557tq @ 1.5 bar - i have smoke tested it for leaks - solid - i have checked for faulty diverter valves - solid - as far as the install it looks great - fuel consuption is meager as well - this car is running on pump fuel 92 octane - tuning is the answer to HP so lets tune her up

What 'kit' are you running? 750-800 awhp requires a lot more than just a 'major turbo' upgrade and a tune.
My guess is you have the EVT 700 which is crank hp, not wheel. Running pump 92 will probably put you somewhere in the mid 500 awhp.
EDIT: I think I misunderstood your post. So, you have a 'kit' from ANOTHER tuner (i.e. NOT EVOMS) that supposedly makes 750-800awhp?

Correct - The kit is another performance package put together from another company that was promised to produce a certain amount of power - it is not just a simple header/exhaust/ecu tuning package, but a rather extravagant modification to the intake, pressure side and exhaust - the tuning issues it has has had numerous attemps from the manufacturer to remedy the problem but to no avail - time for a tune up

Sounds about right if they tuned it conservatively with mods such as intercoolers, full exhaust and upgraded VTG turbos. 750-800 WHP would bring you to a kit with larger GT30 turbos on it. Can you tell us specifically what 'kit' you have?

So, if it's not EVOMS, then let's see who else has made 800hp (still unsure if we're talking crank or wheel) cars?
Switzer
AWE
TPC
Proto
Vivid

Subscribed, out of sheer curiousity.
800 to the wheels is starting to push the internal limits of the engine. I have a strange feeling we're talking more of a crank number here. Most kits that advertise 700 or 750 crank equate to 550 or so at the wheels, which would makes sense based on the OP's original results.

Right, but who claimed that? Did the tuner actual say 750-800 TO THE WHEELS or was it advertised as a '750-800 hp kit' (which to me implies crank hp, but could have been misconstrued by the customer?).

that could very well be...wheels look good ven's tt

My point exactly.

You can definitely make good power on 92 octane. 600, 625 hp to the wheels for sure. But it's all going to depend on what other hardware he has, i.e. turbos, coolers, headers, etc.
A quick search of past threads led me to my own conclusion..lol, but I'll let you guys decide for yourselves.

I will let the OP supply the details on the kit. What I can tell you is this was a "800 - 850 HP" kit. The car made 512hp and 557tq to the wheels @ 1.5 bar of boost on an AWD Dynojet. The turbos are capable of supplying enough air to support the claimed power however the engine is not producing the power. I am waiting for some data logs before we move forward with any software changes. Also, I will not be pushing the engine to the make the power that the kit was suppose to produce. I do not believe that 850 HP with a stock engine is safe thus will tune it more conservatively.

What do you guys consider safe on stock internals?

It depends. For a track car, 650-700 hp. For a pure street car 750-775 with 93+ octane fuel.
