Not sure it's possible generate mid-high 600 awhp with VTGs on CA pump gas so if that's your goal, better double check that.
I can't say the exact price difference but the evo kit is a lot cheaper plus I don't have to pay for install as well...When I've talked to proto, they still like the gt turbos over the alphas....I know the evo kit would put down more like 630awhp instead of the mid to highs...

Can you imagine what the dealer would say for warranty work if they saw Champion branded billet turbos or Alpha Garretts when they put your car up on the rack?
This is also one of my worries...This is why I ask about the reliability of the kits...I know that evo looks mainly stock except for a few key things and the dealer would probably over look them if they had to do some warranty work...

just giving you options..GL...i think if the dealer was looking for ways out of warranty, any of these kits would certainly be good reason

The only reason I didn't add champion is because there is no info on it...I've read the thread and heard there are several cars out there but nothing but a couple of dyno charts...Has anyone ran these cars yet?

Renntech does the modifications to the tranny hardware (adds more and better clutches)

Was this a Mustang AWD dyno or RWD only? How much boost were you running and on what octane? We need a lot more info here.

Hi bonehead. I can answer that.

His car was 690 whp hp on a 2wd dynojet. On the awd Mustang it was slightly less, about 675 I believe. His car is complete and has been complete for some time now. It's actually sitting about 5 feet away from me in our showroom right now.

Arone's car is also here and being completed as we speak. It will be complete this week.

Keep in mind...BOTH these cars, and the other 2 68mm tip cars we have built, were ALL done WITH VTG turbochargers with perfect daily drivability, AND our Champion warranty.

As for numbers, and stats, etc...the most we can do is provide dyno numbers and the cars themselves as proof. As I've said multiple times before...taking a customer's car onto a public road and performing 60-130 tests is a risk that we are not willing to take with their cars. Once the snow melts in the Northeast and these guys are able to, I'm sure they'll be happy to provide some numbers. But until then, you'll just have to take our word for it.

I promise you, a nicer kit does not exist. Both cars are here at our facility right now. Anyone who is in the area is more then welcome to stop by. I will personally give you a tour and show you both in person, as well as let you speak directly to our engineers and technicians who have designed and tested all the parts.

Tom, thanks for chiming in. Can you tell us how much boost you were running and what fuel was being used?

What are you opinions on 'safe' power output and the GT1 block?

What octane? How much HP can you get on pump 91/93?
