That's a very generous budget, you should be able to get a superfantastic result.

If I had the cash I'd consider the Switzer P800 too, it LOOKS like a killer and apparently is VERY streetable (a priority for me). I don't know if those turbos flow as much at the top as the 30s but the big kick at lowish rpms is a great tradeoff.

I have used TPC racing upgrades for years on my turbos. Never a problem, great power, no codes, etc. Mike knows as much as anyone about how to make these cars fast and reliable. My wife and my cars are heavily tracked and run faultlessly.

Both EvoMs and Proto r top tuners so u shouldn't worry about reliability.
25 grand for parts or parts and labor?

Either way u need to upgrade ur tranny sooner (with gt30) or later (with evt775) that $5k if u want to go with whitenight kit.

I would recommend doing it sooner. This is what the clutches look like coming out of a car with just a chip/exhaust and 63.5mm VTG's looks like. The additional friction surfaces of the upgraded kit makes a HUGE difference.

Skeeter,
Looks like you have people coming at you from all angles.

To say the least, you have several viable options. Based on feedback from this thread it seems to me the big question is what fuel are you going to be using on a regular basis. That is obviously the biggest limiting factor right now.

I have two recent customers that we did our EVT775 build on that were Tip cars. Both of those engines were making over 570 lb ft of torque at 3k rpm. This is the epitome of a KILLER street car.

We recently did the fuel system on a 3071 car and that engine, while making more overall power, was only seeing 364 lb ft of torque at the same RPM. I spent time behind the wheel of both cars and the difference is galactic! 200 ft lb difference at 3k RPM is HUGE!!

There is a very good reason Porsche spent the time and money they did on the VTG's. For a STREET application, they cannot be beat, and if we are talking about using 91 octane fuel on top of everything else............

If you have any questions please feel free to call or email anytime, thx.

Thanks Rodz! The best fuel around here is 91 octane or I can drive a few miles and get E85 as well...So most likely those would be my choices on fuel...

That changes things. I would do E85 in an instant. That is, turn your baby into an FFV. I'll probably do that to mine hopefully one day. You'll get more power on E85 with the right set-up.

Well, E85 obviously opens up a whole new world for us
But, until then, we have cut our teeth on the lesser of the two fuels and we make consistent, reliable power that is day in and day out!

How much track time will your TT see? Do you plan on doing racing of any kind? Just curious what the biggest chunk of driving will entail.

I doubt I'll track the car that much...Maybe here and there...It'll probably be a highway warrior... I'd do some 1/4 mile runs if can find a track...

Skeeter

Proto has a E85 tune for modded VTG Turbos, this will require you to upgrade your injectors from stock to 83lbs. 600ft/lbs of torque from 3500-4500 rpm can't beat that.

Todd does sell modded VTG turbos as well, call and talk to him

Given the choice I would run E85 over any other grades of Gas.

Thats perfect, exactly what my two most recent Tip EVT775 customers do. Both of those cars are so gratifying to drive in a daily driver setting but yet when you put your foot on the floor the acceleration is breathtaking! This set up is truly the best of both worlds, and this is all possible on 91 pump fuel.
