and what do you mean? a stock pdk turbo beats a 458 by a small margin almost all the way. Clearly a tuned turbo will beat the 458

 

There are videos on this site of a 458 pulling on a Turbo S once they were well over 100mph.
After a certain point its a HP race...570vs530 570 will win every time.

So for this car to be pulled on that dramatically leads me to believe someone isn't doing something right. OR the Porsche is putting down a good bit more HP.

 

I dont know the gearing specifics on both cars so i could be wrong... But what makes you think the gearing on the Porsche is bad on the top end? If the gearing is consistent, the superior power band is going keep the advantage at high speeds. Remember that Hp is just a measurement of torque.

I definitely don't think the gearing is bad on the Porsche.

The only basis for argument that I have is other video's I've seen. However, on this day, the Porsche definitely had the upper hand.

 

458 Italia is great "show car", but the problem is TORQUE only 54kgmf and my Turbo PDK with ecu tuned has 80/82kgmf of torque!!!!

458 NO CHANCES, belive me, i repeat this side by side a lot of times, i will post anothers videos of this magic day!!!

The 458 is both beautiful and highly functional IMO. I wouldnt say the car has a problem because it lost to a tuned car in stock form.

At the end of the day Porsche>Ferrari

That video was against a stock Turbo S. This race is against a Turbo with a ECU flash, which is faster than a stock Turbo S. If you raced all 3 cars together to 180 mph, this flashed Turbo would be 1st, the 458 2nd, and the Turbo S 3rd.

Flash the Turbo S however, and it will be the fastest of the bunch.

 

Damn I guess I didn't realize how "slow" the 458 is.

I'm a little upset because this is the car I'm looking to trade up for.
