Ruf RT12R

I know, I should have rephrased it. The last question was the one I should have asked. I know Porsche doesn't make a narrow body 3.8L TT car.
I was pointing out how unusual it is for RUF to build an RT12 that's not based on a 911 Turbo.
RT12 -> 997.1 TT
RT12 S -> 997.1 TT
RT12 R -> 997.2 ??

The RT12 does not equate to the 997TT. With the exception of sharing the same block, the two cars have very little in common. Different transmission gearing, RWD, narrow body frame.
All the RTurbos are built frame up. The entire car is unique. The RT12R will be a carbon body shelled version of the RT12, using a modified version of their 3.8L M64 block.

Yeah, that does seem to be a common misconception. The cars all start out as bodies in white, either wide or narrow.

Now that's something new for me.
I always thought the RT12 (normal and S) was based on a 997.1 TT, as the RT12 and S tuning packages were available only for the 997.1 TT (as I remember from the RUF webpage) and I also knew that they were available on both RWD and AWD, but I never thought you could get a narrow body RT12 and RT12 R. Hence the connections in my mind about RT12 (S) being derived from a 997.1 TT.
Can you get one in wide-body? If so, why not have a wide-body shown? It's confusing...

Here's the pdf in german of the conversion details:
http://www.rufauto.us/ruf/images/sto...ch-12.2008.pdf
On the 996 however, the conversion packages were known as RTurbo, just as the RUF VIN cars were. So you could buy RUF RTurbo or if you owned a Porsche, could have the RTurbo engine conversion performed on you car.
