Bumping this thread back from the dead.
Was going to order the Rennline kit since it seems the most complete, easiest but I'd really like to get the grill flush with the hood (or damn close) without the space.
For the couple of guys that have managed to do so, mind sharing how it was done?

Anyone paranoid about resale value? I have mine sitting here at the house, but not super excited about cutting up a perfectly good bumper.
Also, when I do wince and pull the trigger, I'll have a slightly used template for sale for less than Rennline charges.

I have been reading this post over the years and I would not do this t my car becasue I would not buy one with this installed. I have gone on record here many times as liking un-molested vehicles. I have seen this particular mod messed up more than installed correctly.
As far as I know there are no real reasons to do this other than the Look. I would pass but that is just me.
I have mod-ed cars in the past and learned from my mistakes. Some were the financial hit I took on resale, others on reliability. All left me poorer and sorry for even starting, with a good helping of aggrivation on top of both.
In any case, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I will be 47 this year and perhaps as one of the older guys here I have some negative mod experience under my belt. I TFU a perfectly good Supra Turbo, and M3 and spent too much of my life sorry I ever touched them as well as pushing them or waiting for tow trucks! Just trying to save you some aggrivation by sharing.
In the end, its your car, enjoy it as you see fit!

Hey Steve. You ever end up installing it yet?

I did the rennline kit but placed it up about half an inch above the standard placement. As a result I have minimal gap between the hood and the vent which I feel is closer to the OEM GT3 look.
