GT3 Front Air Vent - The Smile on a 997TT

Anybody done it? Regrets? I've heard that we are suppose to use a different lip on the front to keep the nose down is it true?

Thanks

Homelink. Need to paint it black or it will be staring up at you thru the hole. I've washed my car several times since without problems.

No problems at all, you will love it, if installed correctly.

Are you guys buying a whole GT3 front bumper, or just the plastic piece and having someone cut/secure it into the stock turbo front bumper?

The GT3 Bumper is completely different than the TT bumper, they're just buying the center piece and having it installed. But the important thing is getting a VERY good shop to do it because since there's no pre-installed provisions for it, it needs to be measured and cut VERY carefully as not to be crooked, or offset a tad to one side or have too much or too little of a gap between the grill and the hood. Not as easy as it would seem at first, if you want it done right. I saw pix of someones car that had it set way too low and it just looked weird. You couldn't tell why it looked off, but something didn't look right about it. Then I saw the close up pix and it told the story.

Challenge accepted.

Ok, this whole time I thought people were buying the GT3 bumpers and painting them, etc etc. Never occurred to me to cut into the bumper. I think it looks great... now I need to go find a shop that's willing to risk messing up my turbo.
