Take a look about 4 inches above the rear window. There's a seam there...makes it look like that might be a Targa.

good eye, either a targa top or a big sunroof.

Interior shot

As Received...

"The next 911 will change substantially in its dimensions. It will be longer by 56 mm over the current 997, with a total length of 4.49 meters. The wheelbase has also been stretched by 10 mm and it is shorter by 11 mm, shifting it slightly more towards a supercar shape rather than a mere sports model.

The width will remain the same, although, the next Carrera edition will have a wider rear body by 60 mm."

Overall I like it, but it looks to me like that particular car is put together with LOTS of leftover parts from the parts bin, and plenty of masking going on. (rear quarters are masked, front bumper is heavily masked, tail lights are 997.1TT...etc).

Most likely they threw it together with whatever parts they had so that they could go out and do some kind of durability or quality testing. I have a feeling the final car is going to look MUCH different.
Complete masking (great word by the way)! NOT a turbo IMHO...damn "intake" vents are big stickers for crying out loud!

That clearly looks like an integrated rear active wing/spoiler on the rear. I hope that they do have a bigger wing that is fixed because they are what helps give the turbos a distinct look over their NA counterparts. Also I see something that was speculated for a while previously and nobody in this thread mentioned, which is what looks to be a rear active roof spoiler. In the first picture, the front fogs also seem to have Halo's ala BMW. Honestly, I like it! Lastly, the crease along the roofline, seems like it's simply the new lines for of the 991 and not Targa specific, as you can see the crease runs all the way from the front windshield pillars all the way to the rear window/quarter window pillar and is even continued into the shape of the rear wing/spoiler.

OP photos look more like a Cayman, smaller/shorter rear than a 911.
The vid at gas station looks like a C2, a Turbo and a next gen Boxster.
